Oh how the times have changed. Can you imagine what working looked like over a century ago? From simple stretches to epic Zumba, female fitness has had quite the evolution at the gym.

In this video, you can watch different workouts from each decade (including the fashion associated with the workout, get ready for epic jazzercise). This make us wonder... what will be the trendy exercise of the next decade?

Jazzercise is a specifically an aerobics combined with dancing. It can also consist of pilates, yoga, kickboxing and resistance training. It originally is supposed to be put to jazz music but tends to put used with pop more recently.

Last year, it was modified into Core, Lo, Fusion, Strike, Express, and Lite. They each focus on different workouts. It was founded in 1969 by Judi Sheppard Missett. Even in the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," the Grinch has an our set aside for Jazzercise!

Street Dance or Vernacular Dance, was originated outside of the typical studio. People took to the streets, parties, parks, raves, and night clubs to show off their street dance skills. This workout is typically improvisational and encourages interaction with spectators.

Breakdancing is actually considered a form of Street Dancing. "Popping" and "Locking fall under the category as well. The jumping and sharp moves make loose clothing the best option.
