Home Style Fashion 5 New Patterns To Rock

Summer is a great time to let your color palate run wild, but it is also a great time to go a little wild with the patterns.  We take a look at the patterns that are now trending and the ones you should add to your list stat! Try some of these sunny and fun new patterns on for size!

Geometric patterns and other abstract prints are definitely in this spring. These looks are usually pretty versatile – great for night, day, work or play! This bright top from J. Crew looks great with simple black dress pants but would also look gorgeous with a bright pink or orange pencil skirt. Try pairing your geometric print with a complementary color pant. For example, this top below would be adorable with purple or yellow!

For many of us, stripes are always in. Have more fun with them this spring by mixing them with surprising colors or clashing patterns. Try pairing a basic striped top, like a classic French scoop neck shirt, with bright orange cigarette pants or a pencil skirt with small polka dots. This mid-length skirt from Forever 21 is a perfect item for spring because it works well with anything from a cardigan to a peasant top.

Jungle Fever

Move over flower print, there are other floral patterns to try! Tropical leaf prints are back this spring in shades from rich green to black and white. Pair with cool colors like turquoise or emerald for a look that shout warm weather is back again!

Bright Checks

Remember the amazing coordinated plaid outfits from Clueless? Those bright plaids are back this spring with a more modern feel. Wear a brightly checked mini, like this one from ASOS, with a loose-fitting t-shirt or cardigan for a 1990's look. If you’re feeling more contemporary, pair with a high-necked camisole and brightly colored blazer.

In Like a Lion

Animal prints might seem like more of a nighttime print, and they do work well paired with black. But you can wear them in daytime too, just go bright instead. Try these super-cute pants with a coral blouse or blazer for a casual day look. Wear with comfy spring loafers or flats and a pair of statement earrings!
