We all hear about the benefits of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. But, what about acai berry? Most of us don't even know what this is. Andrea Metcalf talked to restaurant chef Julie Pico about healthy and tasty ways to maximize the benefits of acai berries.
Acai berries are a fantastic anti-inflammatory. They also contain antioxidants that defend the body against stressors. How great is that?! So, how do you actually incorporate acai berry in your diet? Enter: the acai berry spritzer!
Acai Berry Spritzer Recipe
- Acai juice
- Acai smoothie pack (available in the frozen section of most grocery stores)
- Sparkling water
- Pour just an ounce of the smoothie mix into a glass over ice.
- Add sparkling water.
- Toss a few blueberries over the top for a nice look and to complete the taste.
- Stir all of the ingredients.
I don't think it gets any simpler than that! Here you have a perfect blend of antioxidant to fight a day's worth of stress. Give it a shot and see how you feel!
