Anything involving arrows, sharp objects, fire, and live television has the potential to go wrong. And for a pair of contestants on America's Got Talent, it did.
Canadian comedy daredevil team AmberLynn Walker and Ryan Stock started their act with a humorous 1950's sitcom set, and performed most of their risky act without incident. It wasn't until the finale that their stunts proved harmful. After Stock swallowed the base of a lamp, Walker was to shoot a bullseye on the bottom of the lamp with a flaming arrow, but missed, which seemingly hitting Stock in the neck. You can check out the clip below:
What the clip leaves out is the judges and audience in shock, unsure of what to do. Simon Cowell, one of the judges, finally tells Ryan Stock to seek medical attention from the onsite medic. He was fine and did not request any further treatment.
Stock later tweeted that it was an unfortunate mechanical failure, telling On The Spot Interviews that the arrow broke, and didn't go into his neck. Glad to hear he's okay!
We had a serious mishap tonight outage live on @nbcagt. A very unfortunate mechanical failure but I am very fortunate to walk away from it.— Ryan Stock (@comedydaredevil) August 3, 2016
