Parenting Pregnancy & Birth Baby Born at 7-11

Baby Born at 7-11

baby-born-at-711A Baby, Nicknamed "Big Gulp" was Born at a 7-11.

His parents were on the way to the hospital when his mother,Tye's, water broke just a few blocks from their home. When the couple reached the 7-11 at Palm Bay, Tye was ready to "push." Already parents of a 6 and 2-year-old, Tye knew from previous birth experiences that they were not going to make it to the hospital. As she yelled at her husband to pull over, Chad, husband and EMT shouted back, "Don't push! Whatever you do, don't push!" How funny is that? Our bodies are going to do exactly what they want and need to do!

If the Baby Arrives Before You Reach the Hospital

Baby Cais made it safely into the world as mother, Tye gave birth in the 7-11 parking lot with a crowd watching. All right, those of us that have given birth already think there is a crowd in the delivery room, but can you imagine a 7-11 crowd? Baby Cais is reportedly doing very well, and has been jokingly nicknamed "Big Gulp."

If what happened to this family happens to you, first of all, don't panic. Call 911 immediately if you think that you will not make it. Stay on the phone with the professionals as they will be able to tell you exactly what to do. Your goal is to delay the delivery as long as possible (difficult, we know). However, if there is any way to keep from delivering your baby, chances are the ambulance can get there in time.

Greetings Womensforum.com Readers :-),

I am so happy to be writing for Women's Forum on issues that affect women.

Being a mom of four, (including three teenagers) has its challenges.  But as crazy as life gets I just try to take life one day at a time and seek out the humor whenever possible.

I have a journalism degree from South Dakota State University and had high aspirations to be a writer, but then I had children.  So, I was a stay at home mom and worked as personal trainer and water aerobics instructor to get out of the house while the kids were young.  Which brings me to the present, where now I can actually do what I love: writing and drawing!  And writing for Womensforum.com has been very rewarding.

I hope you are educated and humored by the articles I write.  Womensforum.com is committed to providing a fulfilling resource of information for women, whether single, married or single moms.

Cheers!
