Most of us wake up and prefer to drink a big cup of coffee to get us going. But, program director of The Biggest Loser resort in Malibu, Micaela Gruber, says when you stretch in the morning, it makes a difference throughout your entire day. You don’t even have to go to the gym to do it!
Benefits of Morning Stretching
- Morning stretches wake up and energize you for your day. Don’t think you have time? Try stretching at night- all you need is five minutes a day.
- It doesn’t have to be too complicated. You can do easy things like touch your toes or stretch your arms to the ceiling. Your body will thank you afterwards.
- Morning stretches wake up all your muscles, just like coffee does.
Micaela Gruber highly recommends stretching in the morning. Getting in the habit of waking up just 10 minutes earlier can result in the many benefits of stretching. Try to ease off the caffeine rush and get energized naturally!
