Pumpkin Face Mask

Pumpkin shows up at the dinner table quite often around Thanksgiving and fall. Now, it’s going to show up on your face. Pumpkin is not only a tasty ingredient to cook with, it’s a great ingredient to use in DIY face masks. Pumpkin helps to brighten and smooth the skin. The other ingredients in this mask help to moisturize, hydrate, exfoliate, and remove dark spots from the skin....and it smells great too!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond oil

Directions:

  1. Combine in a bow.
  2. Store in fridge in an airtight container for about three weeks before use.
  3. When the three weeks are up, spread on face, generously.
  4. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Rinse with warm water and a face cloth.
  6. Pat dry.

Moisturizing Face Mask

Skin is prone to dryness in the fall. This super moisturizing face mask you can DIY helps to combat dry skin. Coconut oil and honey helps to moisturize the hair and it’s no different for your face.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup coconut oil (warmed to a liquid)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon green apple (grated)

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cool mixture until it solidifies.
  3. Spread on face.
  4. Rinse with warm water and a face cloth.
  5. Pat dry.

Banana and Egg Face Mask

Banana and egg have a list of benefits from being rich in vitamins A, B2, zinc, and protein. Each, along with its third mask ingredient, almond oil, has been known for its use on hair for growth, healing, and strength. Together, it’s an anti-aging mask that helps to do all the same for the skin as well as assist with circulation, acne and especially dry skin.

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons of almond oil

Directions:

  1. Combine by mashing the banana, egg yolk, and oil into a paste.
  2. Apply to a clean face.
  3. Let mask sit for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse with warm water then cold water.
  5. Pat dry.
