After weeks of speculation, Bravo confirms Bethenny’s return to Real Housewives.
The original Skinnygirl is back! The Bravo network confirmed Monday morning that Bethenny Frankel will return as a regular cast member for Season 7 of The Real Housewives of New York City.
"Bravo is thrilled to announce that Bethenny Frankel will be returning to the Real Housewives of New York City for Season 7," the network announced on their blog, The Dish. "The Housewife, who appeared in seasons 1 through 3 and starred in two spin-off series (Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After), will be joining cast members Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.”
After leaving Housewives when season 3 finished, Frankel remained on television with her CBS talk show Bethenny, which aired for one season and was not renewed for a second, much to Frankel’s relief.
"Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!” said Frankel.
Andy Cohen, Housewives producer and friend of Frankel, expressed his excitement for what’s next.
"Bethenny is one of the most popular housewives in the history of the franchise, and I couldn't be more excited she is coming home to Bravo!"
The New York native has stayed in the public eye since exiting Bravo two years ago, for reasons besides her talk show. Her heated divorce battle with Jason Hoppy regarding their daughter Bryn, 4, has been all over the media, despite it being an uncomfortable topic for the single mom.
As Frankel re-enters the Housewives scene, fans are undeniably enthusiastic about the upcoming season, and welcoming their favorite housewife home.
