If you’re looking for an award show that features truly the best hits of the year, look no further than the Billboard Music Awards. This year's award show was filled with fan favorites including John Legend, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, and more.

With nearly a dozen performances from the award ceremony including hits from Ed Sheeran and Kanye West, we’ve recapped the five performances that gained the most attention and were perhaps the most entertaining of the night.

(Kanye West did not make the list because 80% was bleeped out.)

“Like I’m Gonna Lose You” By Meghan Trainor & John Legend

This was legendary! Meghan Trainor along with John Legend belted out one of the most powerful performances of the night with the hit “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.” There was definitely some musical chemistry on stage that even Chrissy Teigen couldn’t deny.

“Infinity” By Mariah Carey

It’s been somewhat of a rough year for Mariah Carey. She's received backlash over her voice, which some fans say has been less than impressive over the past few months. So was Mariah able to pull it off at the BBMAs? We think so!

As viewers carefully watched while looking for signs of lip-syncing throughout her performance, it became clear that Carey was carrying her weight behind the microphone and even hit the infamous high note she’s been associated with all these years.

Bravo to Mariah who brought the sparkle back to her performances.

“See You Again” By Charlie Puth featuring Wiz Khalifa

The late Paul Walker had a room full of love for him during the awards on Sunday. Between his former friend and co-star Ludacris hosting the show and the performance dedicated to him, it’s safe to say his memory lives on even more than a year after his tragic death.

“See You Again” is currently topping the charts of hottest hits and Sunday night was no exception. Rapper Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth played an extraordinary show, which had audience members including Meghan Trainor in tears.

“Pretty Girls” By Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea

We all know Britney Spears knows how to rock a Vegas crowd. The pop star's home game advantage definitely was put to good use during her performance with Iggy Azalea for their latest hit, “Pretty Girls.”

The best part of this performance is you want to hang out with Iggy and Britney by the end because they seem so fun and in sync with each other.

We think Britney owned the stage a little more than Iggy did. But to be fair, Britney’s been performing on the Planet Hollywood stage for a year during her residency and Iggy might have felt less at home. No matter what, the song (repetitive lyrics and all) got the crowd moving and was a colorful performance to keep the BBMA energy flowing.

“The Night Is Still Young” & “Hey Mama” By Nicki Minaj & David Guetta

This performance might have already gotten your attention merely to see if Nicki Minaj was about to have a nip slip. She didn’t though, girl had it together with this outfit!

First, the fan favorite “The Night Is Still Young” was executed by the flawless Minaj in a perfectly choreographed performance before transitioning into her latest hit “Hey Mama,” accompanied by acclaimed D.J. David Guetta. Together, this team makes you want to party and that’s exactly what the audience was doing (Ahem, T. Swift).
