Credit issues for women are somewhat different than they are for men. Unequal pay for equal work has had a trickle down effect on women's ability to earn an equal credit rating at the bank.
Due to choices women make about child care and flexible employment women have been seen as more transient in the work force. This has become an issue for lenders when screening women for credit. Women suffer financial consequences when it comes time to apply for loans for large purchases such as cars, businesses and homes.
