Cameron Diaz isn't shutting the door on motherhood.

Marie Claire’s November cover girl, Cameron Diaz, opens up about her personal life in next month’s issue of the magazine. Diaz has been minted as one of Hollywood’s leading bachelorettes, although she is opening up about perhaps settling down one day.

Just last week, Diaz was spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger and fans were wondering if boyfriend of five months, Good Charlotte's Benji Madden, had popped the question to his beautiful blonde bombshell. While those reports have been somewhat denied, we do have a deeper look into what the Charlie’s Angels actress is looking forward to in the future, baby or not.

As far as marriage in general? If it happens, it happens according to Diaz.

"I’m not looking for a husband or marriage or not not looking for that stuff," she says. "I’m living, not thinking what I should or shouldn’t be doing with my life."

Her stance on perhaps having children mirrors a similar opinion. Like many working women, Diaz, 42, won’t let other people’s expectations of her get in the way of what’s meant to be.

"We live in a society where everyone has kids, so they want other people to have kids. This is the culture that says celebrities are supposed to be just like us, so people think, ‘I have children, why doesn’t she?’ But I’m not going to do something because it’s expected."

The Other Woman star, who dons a strapless red dress on next month’s cover, went on to say "If a family happens, then it happens. If children come to me, then I would do that, but I’m not someone who feels like she has to do something because it’s expected."

Sounds like the door is open for all possibilities of a future family for Diaz, which is a refreshing take for women who hear "the clock is ticking" over and over in their head.

For now, you can pick up the November issue of Marie Claire on stands October 21.
