7 Celebs Who've Officiated Weddings

Imagine Lady Gaga at your wedding.

Would be a ceremony to remember! Celebrities seem like they can do it all - act, sing, win Oscars, and sometimes they'll officiate a wedding. While we hope that none of these celebs quit their day job, we’re wondering how to book Jonah Hill to officiate our wedding like he did for Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Granted...Levine and Hill have been friends for a long time and they're both famous. Helps to have friends in high places, right? Well, if Jonah isn't available, there are several other celebrities who have officiated wedding ceremonies that you can look to helping you say your "I Do's."

Emma Stone

In November 2012, Emma Stone officiated the wedding of her publicist, Holly Shakoor, to director Ruben Fleischer at Twin Peaks Ranch in Ojai, California. Stone was a natural choice for the position as she introduced the couple. At the time, Stone had known Shakoor for six years and when Stone was directed by Fleischer in Zombieland, she took the opportunity to play matchmaker. An attendee of the wedding said, "They always credited Emma with them finding each other, so having her officiate the wedding was a no brainer."

Conan O’Brien

The late night talk show host surprised his audience back in 2011 when he officiated the wedding of good friend and costume designer Scott Cronick on the air. O’Brien officiated the wedding during the show and when Cronick walked down the aisle to marry his partner, David Gorshein, he was accompanied by Bravo exec Andy Cohen who handed off the groom. A poised O’Brien ended the ceremony with "I now pronounce you husband and husband. You can kiss the groom."

Lady Gaga

Okay this might not be a shocker, because does anything actually shock you about Lady Gaga anymore? As soon as gay marriage was legalized in New York, Gaga immediately became an ordained minister because she had wanted to start officiating weddings at her future concerts as a way to repay her fans for the love and support they’ve shown her. Gaga’s first run at the gig was when she married off one of her closest friends. Aw!

Queen Latifah

It was history in the making when Queen Latifah officiated a mass wedding during the 56th Grammy Awards. 33 couples were lucky enough to have her oversee their ceremony while Madonna, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert performed "Same Love" (known as an anthem for same-sex marriage advocates). Though Latifah is not an ordained minister, she was able to be sworn in by the state of California as a temporary commissioner.

Kris Jenner

Not just a momager…Kris Jenner officiated a wedding in her Calabasas mansion in 2011 and as you can probably guess, the ceremony was featured on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Already an ordained minister, Jenner was asked to officiate the ceremony of her friend Pastor Brad to his bride. Pastor Brad officiated the wedding of Khloe and Lamar so the scenario came full circle when Jenner married the two in her home. While a beautiful ceremony, it ended with Jenner putting the pressure on daughter Kourtney Kardashian to marry her partner Scott Disick. And well...it didn't work.

Judith Light

When America Ferrera married her producer husband Ryan Piers Williams back in 2011, she turned to her Ugly Betty costar Judith Light to marry them off. In fact, the whole day was an Ugly Betty affair. Ferrera borrowed the home of Vanessa Williams in upstate New York as the wedding venue and Light acted as a lovely choice to marry the two.

Joan Rivers

It may not have been a planned affair, but when Joan Rivers officiated two fans while promoting her new book Diary of a Mad Diva, we saw she isn't all sass and quips. The two fans, Joe Aiello and Jed Ryan, were waiting in line and remembered Rivers was an ordained minister. They thought it would be fun to ask her to marry them, never thinking she would say yes. The Fashion Police host asked the couple, "Do the two of you understand what marriage is about? Adoring each other, standing behind each other, and forsaking all others, and really, honest to God, this is it, forever." That didn't scare them from going through with the ceremony, and Rivers was happy to pronounce them "husband and husband."
