2015 CMT Nominees Announced!

Award season may have ended, but the CMT Awards still have country fans singing praises for their favorite artists. Nominations for the 2015 CMT Music Awards were announced this week for the award ceremony on June 10.

Acclaimed trio, Lady Antebellum, had the honor of naming the nominees of three categories Wednesday morning on the Today Show.

Country’s hunkiest star, Luke Bryan, announced on his social media page the nominations for Best Group Video of the Year which includes A Thousand Horses, Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, and Zac Brown Band.

 

Carrie Underwood also took to Twitter to announce the noms for Breakthrough Video of the Year which includes Chase Rice, Frankie Ballard, Kelsea Ballerini, Maddie and Tae, RaeLynn, and Sam Hunt.

 

 

The following nominees will be further narrowed down during the live telecast on June 10 with final voting hosted at CMT.com during the show. Carrie Underwood leads with more than one nominations in the Female Video of the Year category for “Little Toy Guns” and “Something in the Water.” She’s also nominated for Video of the Year for “Something in the Water.”

Florida Georgia Line also holds two nominations in the category Duo Video of the Year for “Dirt” and “Sun Daze.”

And finally, newcomers Maddie and Tae are nominated for Best Duo Video of he Year for “Girl in a Country Song” and for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Girl in a Country Song.”
