What better way to celebrate your little secret agent's birthday than to throw an awesome secret agent party? Your child and friends will love playing detective, uncovering clues and finding surprises around every turn. We've gathered some great ideas for invitations, decorations, activities and snacks to help you throw the ultimate in undercover missions.
1. Mission Invitations
Get your guests in the secret agent mindset before the party by creating fun invitations that make the party a mission. Say something like "Your Mission, should you choose to accept it..." or "RSVP to Agent Mom by [this date] or this message will self-destruct" to add to the fun. If you're really up to the challenge, you could even create a code that your guests have to unscramble to get the date, the location or a party access code.
2. Become a Secret Agent
Upon arrival, make each guest a secret agent with credentials, a magnifying glass and shades (for going incognito). Take their picture upon arrival, use yearbook photos or have them put their thumbprint on the ID.
3. Use Your Secret Agent Skills
What better way to pretend to be a secret agent than to act like a secret agent? Set up a fun "mission" for the guests to solve. Have them solve clues to move to different areas around the house, and provide some obstacles (like a "laser" room made out of streamers) They can even find jewels at the end that each guest can take home.
4. A Secret Agent Has to Eat!
After all the adventure, a secret agent needs to refuel. Provide snacks that are not only tasty but also secret agent-themed. A secret agent's gadgets are never what they seem, so go with a "surprise" cake that has something like candy or rainbow colors inside. You could even decorate it like a bomb or spyglass.
