Emma Watson has revealed her side of the ugly truth about the fashion industry.
The Noah actress recently shared her opinion about what the fashion industry considers to be the ideal beauty is impossible to achieve and how that negatively impacts young women. You probably won’t see the young beauty turning to plastic surgery to enhance her look any time soon.
“As a younger woman, that pressure got me down, but I’ve made my peace with it. With airbrushing and digital manipulation, fashion can project an unobtainable image that’s dangerously unhealthy,” Watson said.
She added, “I’m excited about the aging process. I’m more interested in women who aren’t perfect. They’re more compelling.”
Watson, who is most known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise also opened up about a huge milestone she has yet to cross off her list— finishing school. She is currently working to graduate from Brown University in Rhode Island.
“After Harry Potter, all that mattered was university. It wasn’t always easy to break down barriers, as having men from the British press following me with cameras didn’t help my mission to integrate.”
Watson most recently played Ila in the film Noah that hit theaters in March.
