Sure, it's an awards show, and we totally care about who won the beautiful golden lady holding the orb, but what we are secretly really excited about is the pre-show show, where we get to see who really won the night!
Here's a look at our vote for who "slayed" the Emmys' Red Carpet Runway.
Rock the Bump
Kerry Washington knows how to make a fashion statement, which is not easy to do this year as she is very pregnant with baby No. 2. Have no fear! This star knows how to be fierce even with a bump.
Nothing Strange Here
This is how you OWN your first Emmy appearance! The Stranger Things gang Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin & Millie Bobby Brown killed it with their unique styles and vivacious attitudes that turned the red carpet green with envy. With Season 2 already planned, this is probably not their last time here.
Rock the Red
You just can't go wrong in red! It is called the "red carpet" after all. No one's star shined as bright at Quantico's Priyanka Chopra. She gave a twirl and stole the show in her crimson gown.
The woman who plays the "Queen of Mean" on Empire brought the look, twice! Taraji P. Henson was right on trend in the most popular new color of the night (yellow) when she was on the red carpet that we didn't expect her presto chango into a sleek dress with a cleavage cutout for her appearance on stage as a presenter.
Thank you @verawanggang @lorraineschwartz @edie_parker @jimmychoo I felt INCREDIBLE!!! Glam squad @ashuntasheriff for face beat @kimblehaircare for hair yaaaaaassss Henny!!! @jasonbolden stylist @damoneroberts eyebrows @malka_cynthia mani/pedi @mehaekim lashes!!! IT TAKES A VILLAGE!!! I love my squad tho!!! Thank you @priyadeluxe and team for making it all happen!!! What a night #emmys2016 *applause*to the team #teamworkmakesthedreamwork *kisses*
Buck The Trend
It wasn't sexy, yellow or red for this fan-favorite superstar mom. Kristen Bell went the "pretty as a picture" route in her very floral, very plunging dress (okay, that part was pretty sexy). The star of Bad Moms and NBC's new The Good Place can do no wrong in our book.
Can I pick one of these up for under $50 and run errands in it? Or just wear it while drinking wine in bed and watching the ID channel like the slob that I am #podcast #podcastlife #girlboss #ladyboss #gorgeous #emmys #kristenbell #fashion #needone #kristenbellemmys #fashionista #idchannel #wine #winelife #loveher #perfection #classy #classyasshit #imaslob #helpme #slothlife
Fierce Is The Best Accessory
The twice-nominated actress Sarah Paulson accessorized her plunging green beaded gown with the fiercest look possible. Queen Bey would even be impressed! It worked for her because a few hours later Paulson had a new golden accessory to carry around when she won an Emmy for her portrayal of Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
Laverne Cox looked like she thought she was going to the Golden Globes with this amazing plunging gold number. With Jeffrey Tambor's win for playing transgendered woman Mara Pfefferman, the issue of letting trans actors play the roles of trans people in front of the camera came up in his acceptance speech. This little number glittered away when Cox appeared on stage later to second Tabor's sentiments.
