Feeding Pets With Sensitive Tummies

Just like humans, pets can have food sensitivities to gluten and dairy.  Puppies especially are unable to digest some of the ingredients in traditional pet food, which can lead to a loose stool, diarrhea, or vomiting.

When choosing a type of food for your pet, you want to select high-quality proteins with a few select carbs. Think fewer ingredients for easier digestion, and oatmeal is one of the best ingredients for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

Common stomach ailments are a result of gluten, soy, dairy and corn, so choose foods without those ingredients or try different combinations (beef with wheat, chicken with corn) to see which specific ingredients your pet is allergic to.

If your pet is experiencing symptoms of a sensitive tummy, slowly transition your pet off of his or her old food because introducing a new high-nutrition diet could also cause some issues.
