1. Tanning Oil Made with Carrots

If you choose oil rather than a lotion you might find that you have less streaks. Using oil is a little easier than applying lotion too.

You Will Need:

  • Carrots
  • Water
  • Brown Sugar
  • Spray Bottle

  1. Start by cutting the carrots in to slices and placing them in a pot of boiling water.
  2. Next, add the brown sugar and reduce the heat.
  3. Let both simmer for about three hours.
  4. Once the three hours has passed, turn off the stove and let the mixture cool.
  5. Pour into a strainer to ensure you remove clumps then place in a spray bottle for easy application.

2. Chocolate Tanner

If you want a great self tanner that makes your skin smell like chocolate, lean towards cocoa powder. This is an inexpensive self tanning lotion that is best to make if you are looking for a quick solution. You can also put it on your face instead of your usual facial lotion.

You Will Need:

  • Cocoa Powder
  • White Lotion

  1. All you have to do is combine ¼ cup of coca powder with 100 ml of the lotion.
  2. Spread evenly over your body and let it dry and set.

3. Coffee or Tea Lotion

Coffee or tea can both have a staining effect on your skin which can be quite beautiful. You can opt for whichever drink of choice you go to first thing in the morning, just ensure the drink you choose has caffeine. Caffeine tightens skin and reduces wrinkles, making for an even better self tanning look.

You Will Need:

  • Coffee Grounds or Tea Bags
  • Lotion
  • Spray Bottle

  1. If you choose coffee, start by brewing it using enough grounds for a pot but the water should equal enough for one cup.
  2. If you are making tea, use enough bags to make one gallon of tea but stick to eight ounces of water.
  3. Once your coffee or tea is brewed, add to the lotion. The more of the liquid you add, the darker you will be.
  4. Put in a spray bottle and apply.
