I’m one of those people who try all the different fad diets, go on and off diets and have been trying to lose weight for years. It’s so easy to put on an extra 20 pounds, but it’s much harder to lose it. If only it was the other way around!
But, I became determined and lost 20 pounds in 3 months! Typical weight loss is about 1-2 pounds a week and I was so strong-minded, I exceeded that! Try some of my easy tips to really shed the weight!
Tips For Losing Weight and Keeping it Off
Cut out the soda: You’d be surprised by how much weight you can lose just by cutting out soda. Numerous studies have been conducted and they are constantly finding out new reasons why soda is horrible for you.
Act and look thinner: If you feel overweight and dress in baggy clothing and no makeup, you’ll feel fat. Dress sexy to feel thinner and keep yourself motivated!
Drink more water: I drink a ton of water everyday, which also kept me full so I wouldn’t snack. Throw some lemons into your water to really boost your metabolism.
Green tea: I would drink 2 cups of green tea everyday to boost my metabolism and it worked!
Acai berry cleanse: I started my weight loss program with an acai berry cleanse. I wanted to rid my body of unwanted bloat and toxins before I got healthy again.
Workout plan: I made myself stick to a strict workout plan complete with cardio, lifting, toning and even did yoga and meditation.
Lifestyle change: I had to ingrain in my brain that this wasn’t just about losing weight, it was also about changing my lifestyle. If you want to lose weight, don’t just diet. Change the way you live.
Moderation: I treated myself in moderation to some sweets or junk food. I know myself and I know that if I force myself to never eat that stuff anymore, I’ll have a slip up, get so frustrated with myself and will quit on myself. Treat yourself in moderation.
Smaller portions: I ate smaller meals throughout the day and didn’t eat dinner after 7 p.m.
