Office Protocol Can Sometimes Stand in the Way of Honest Expression

If you have one of those bosses who is considerate and kind, it's nice to occasionally show your appreciation by saying "thank you". It sounds easy enough; right? • Your boss granted you leave during a family emergency and also rescheduled or attended the meeting with your clients on your behalf so that your reputation wouldn't be compromised.
• Your boss has granted you the capital and resources required for a particular project at work.
• You have decided to move on with your career and leave the company. Do thank your boss for the magnificent work experience you've had.
