Who Says the Internet is Anti Reading!
The American Library Association (ALA) is one of the oldest institutions in the U.S having associated on October 6, 1876 in Philadelphia. But no one can say they aren't up to the minute when it comes to technology!
Unlike some other long running institutions, the ALA realized back in 1998 that computers and specifically the internet would be the future of books. In keeping with this philosophy they have updated the American Library Association Websites for Kids on Aug 25, 2009.
