When two adults have a dispute and want to have a reasonable compromise between each other they often start by trying to communicate how each sees the situation differently. They try to raise the level of communication to a level where there is a clear understanding between the two of them. Sometimes this involves a counselor or other neutral third party who can help them comprehend the differences that have caused a rift.

Normally signs of autism are most prominent in children age 3 or older which follows the age pattern when most developmental behaviors associated with social interaction and behavior are noticeable. This is also the normal age of detecting any language or speech problems.
