La Leche League

la-leche-leagueWhat is La Leche League?

There are few organizations in the world that deal exclusively with the relationship of baby and mother with their own unique philosophy on what is best for both. One such organization is the La Leche League. Known by many as the "breastfeeding group" this organization has been around for over fifty years and in that time their message and philosophy has held true to course.  Beginning with seven mothers in Illinois, in 1956, the organization has hundreds of satellite groups all over the world. Each one of these groups follows the same philosophy and beliefs. It is this consistency that makes this group so successful. They have a simple mission to share, educate and support women through the breastfeeding process with their babies.
