I am sure you would have been just fine within a few minutes. It was nice that your friend did that for you. How did the rest of the date turn out once your friend left?

I just saw a cute video on body language here on woman’s forum. Did you know that we let others know what we are thinking, feeling by how we move our bodies? I didn't either until now.

It helps to meet a first date in a public place and drive your own car. That way you won't have to worry about being able to 'get away' if you need to. These days, you just never know.

oh, definitely don't discuss past lovers!! I went on a date with a guy once who had apparently just broken up with someone...he wouldn't stop talking about her for the whole hour or so we were at dinner! Overall, though, first dates can be promising if you play your cards right.
