If you have no need for those classes or for a personal trainer, you can save a great deal of money just by getting yourself a home gym instead. Home gyms come in endless varieties, with some having just weights and others coming with a complete set of full size gym equipment. These work out centers can bode lateral machines, sit up tools, weight plates or resistance bands. Make sure you look closely at home gym equipment you may benefit using on a daily basis versus those with lots of bells and whistles that you are more likely to hang your clothes on instead of using to get in shape.
Some great examples of popular choices for home gym equipment are the Bowflex brand, Proform, Powerline and Body Solid. These brands begin around three hundred dollars in cost and expand into the thousands, depending on which model you opt for. Many have payment plans and also provide replacement warranties and parts should you need them. Some even offer a basic entry time frame where they will send the gym machinery to your home and allow you to test it out for a month before buying.
Purchasing Your Own Gym Equipment
Another idea is to create your own home gym. This is for those that would ordinarily only go to the local gym to use a few pieces of equipment and maybe run as well. You can buy your own treadmill and free weights to create your own personal workout area at home. Price up at your local sporting goods store which option may be better for you before making any big gym membership deals.
Remember, the most economical home gym is the one that uses minimal equipment. With the proper training, you can create a work out space at home with little more than a few free weights, a yoga mat, an exercise ball and some resistance bands. With a little effort and a lot of discipline, you can be working up a sweat at home for less than $100.
