Famous country music star Jason Aldean is the most downloaded country music singer, ever.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently announced that Jason Aldean, 37, has had over 21.5 million certified digital song downloads or on-demand streams, making him the top digital male country artist star. Aldean said the announcement was a "huge honor" and thanked fans, his team, and the RIAA.
"I love country music," Aldean said, "and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else… there was never a Plan B for me."
His notable career includes co-hosting the 2013 Country Music Awards with actress Kristen Bell and having numerous top charting country hits. Just a week ago, his new single "Burnin' It Down" shot up into the number one slot. In its second week on the radio, the track soared 42 to 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, giving him his ninth number one and the biggest leaps in the list's history.
Aldean's other number one chart toppers that make us dance in our cowboy boots include "Why," "She's Country," "Big Green Tractor," "The Truth," "Don't You Wanna," "Dirt Road Anthem," "Fly Over States," and "Take a Little Ride." He’s also won numerous awards at the Country Music Awards, American Country Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.
During his lively career he’s released five albums and sixteen singles. His 2010 album, “My Kinda Party,” is a certified triple-platinum record, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Aldean is currently on his Burn It Down tour, which wraps up in Dallas on October 25.
