Original reports noted the singer canceled her World Cup performance with Pitbull...
The singer's rep told E! News in a statement that they "can confirm the accuracy of FIFA's statement. Regretfully Jennifer Lopez will not be attending this year's World Cup opening ceremonies." But don't dispair...J. Lo's rep said the singer will be at the World Cup.
The singer was supposed to perform the tournament's official song, "We Are One", with Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte at Thursday's World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil. Her cancellation was due to unspecified "production issues."
Lopez's rep reportedly said "Jennifer has always wanted to participate in the World Cup opening ceremonies. We have been trying to work out scheduling and logistics. Any statements contrary were premature. Jennifer would not want to disappoint her fans or fans of futbol."
Before news of the World Cup cancelation broke, Lopez looked stunning in a black and gold mini dress at a listening party for the album A.K.A. in collaboration with Beats by Dre, hosted by Karen Civil.
Just one day before, the singer split from her beau Casper Smart after two years of dating, but it doesn't seem to be related to the World Cup performance.
