Jennifer Love Hewitt is in no rush to lose her post baby weight.
In fact, she’s embracing it. Jennifer Love Hewitt gave birth to her first child, Autumn, four months ago. The 35-year-old Client List star has revealed that getting back to her pre-pregnancy slim physique is not on her to-do list. During recent interviews, Hewitt gave pretty good insight as to why.
"I really thought I was going to be super consumed with trying to get my body back to the way it was before, and now that I’m a mom, I’m like ‘I don’t want to be that girl again because that girl didn’t have a baby and didn’t have a great husband and didn’t have this blissful existence that I’m having now."
Still, that doesn’t mean she’s not working on keeping her and little Autumn healthy as well as getting back in shape. So what’s Jennifer Love Hewitt’s secret to staying healthy and fit after having a baby?
She said, “I’ve been doing Zumba, and I’ve worked it out so the baby’s been doing Zumba with me. We dance together, and I carry her as a weight so we’ve been having fun that way. The body takes about six months to fully come back so I haven’t wanted to injure myself so I’ve been swimming because it’s low impact on my system."
She also opened up about health being a priority not just for her but for little Autumn as well. She said that she doesn't want to just be a good example for her daughter when it comes to health, but self-esteem as well. "If your priorities are right, the baby's most important. You have to eat to feed your baby. And I have a girl so I want her to see some day why her mom has good self-esteem and good body issues."
She candidly confessed that it's much easier said than done."It gets you down sometimes, I'm not going to lie. I've had days where I'm like, 'Ugh, I wish this was easier.' But it's not, and that's OK."
