19 Kids and Counting daughter says “I do"
Being a Duggar takes quite a lot of patience! If being one of nineteen didn’t teach that lesson already, Jill Duggar finally had her first kiss this weekend. No she wasn’t at the prom. The 19 Kids and Counting star, 23, married Derick Dillard on Saturday and when the two said “I do,” they finally locked lips.
The first official weekend of summer served as a beautiful celebration for the young bride who exchanged vows with her fiancé witnessed by over 1,000 guests in her home state of Arkansas. Duggar and Dillard have been engaged since March and it we can only imagine how much they were itching to get to the altar.
No exception to the conservative practices of courtship, Jill and Derick had chaperones monitoring their "dates" and once they were engaged to be married, the two decided to add hand-holding to the relationship.
Known for their religious values and beliefs, the TLC parents Jim-Bob, 49, and Michelle, 47, were happy to send their oldest daughter down the aisle. The new groom shared how he and Jill met and the father-of-the-bride himself is the one who introduced the pair!
"During a conversation with Jim Bob, he mentioned how he thought Jill and I might get along well, having similar personalities and direction in life."
Jill is the second Duggar, but first daughter, to get hitched. Oldest son, Josh, married his wife Anna in 2008 and have since welcomed three children, Mackynzie, Michael, and Marcus.
Lucky for Jim-Bob’s checkbook, his 19 kids are not all daughters!
