Congrats are in order for Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney!
McNearney gave birth to the couple's third child, a daughter named Jane Kimmel, Thursday. "Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl this morning," Kimmel tweeted.
Kimmel then tweeted this, referring to the #MeanTweets segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Thanks for all your kind baby wishes - turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!— Jimmy Kimmel (@jimmykimmel) July 10, 2014
Kimmel's wife and first-time mother McNearney, who is a staff writer on the show, also took to social media to share the news Thursday.
Kids, don't do drugs. Until you have a baby. Then do ALL OF THEM.— Molly McNearney (@mollymcnearney) July 10, 2014
The day became an extra-special occasion for Kimmel as the birth of his daughter comes on the same day he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The couple is also set to celebrate one year of marriage in just a few days. The pair wed last July in a star-studded wedding less than a year after Kimmel proposed.
News of the baby first broke when 46-year-old Kimmel announced the couple was expecting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February.
"It's weird, at my age," the comedian said. "I'm going to be one of those old dads."
"Well, you're not as old as some dads right now," DeGeneres replied. "You're not that old."
Jane will join Kimmel's two children from his first marriage, Kevin and Katie.
