Bruce Jenner revealed on Friday night that Kim Kardashian West was the most supportive out of the Kardashian clan on his gender transition.
His stepdaughter, 34, went on to discuss the news-breaking change with Matt Lauer on a taped segment on the Today show.
Kanye West’s wife was with Bruce and the entire family on Friday as they watched the two-hour special with Diane Sawyer. Jenner confirmed the months of speculation around his gender identity, saying "For all intents and purposes, I am a woman."
Jenner, 65, revealed the years of struggle through three wives, 10 children, and seven grandchildren.
When speaking of Jenner, Kim called him "the most honest," adding that he "has the biggest heart and I'm really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it and that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness."
"That's what life is about. I don't know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren't yourself," she said.
Kim, along with her other siblings who eventually came around to Bruce’s wishes to live as "her," remains steadfastly loyal to her stepdad.
"I think there is still an adjustment and there’s, you know, family therapy," she said. "And we’re really close. You know, I – I see reports that say, you know, 'This one doesn’t support him,' and 'This one’s over here,' and my mom 'feels this way. And it’s all really so made up."
The reality star noted that she, and most of the general public, may never truly understand what her stepfather is going through.
"I don't even think we have to," she says. "I think as long as he is happy and he wants to live his life however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy and I support him 100 percent."
The "family comes first" Kardashian and Jenner reality stars have endured an understandable amount of struggle as they deal with what come’s next for Bruce.
"Say what you want about us," she told the Today host, "but we work out everything as a family and we have the best communication and we are so in sync with each other... We have each other to go through this experience, and I'm really grateful for that."
What’s most important though? "We all really support him," Kim told Lauer.
