Kim Kardashian West is passionate about an important cause happening right now in America… People are losing their cellular data. In a new T-Mobile commercial, reality star and author of a new selfie book titled Selfish encourages cell phone users to cherish their gigs of data.
The commercial will premiere this Super Bowl Sunday.
With the melody of familiar PSA openings, Kim introduces herself somberly. "Hi, I’m Kim. Each month, millions of gigs of unused data are taken back by wireless companies. Tragic."
Kanye West’s wife walks through a museum-like hallway featuring her best Instagram selfies. She continues, "Data you paid for that could be used to see my makeup, my backhand, my outfits, my vacations and my outfits. Sadly all lost. Please, help save the data."
T-Mobile signs off with "It’s your data. Keep it."
Besides her groundbreaking selfies, stellar vacations, and perfectly styled outfits, Kardashian knows how to poke fun at herself. And we are loving this portrayal of her self-deprecating attitude.
Commercial know-it-alls might have seen this ad coming. Last year’s Super Bowl advertisement, T-Mobile showcased an upbeat text-only commercial. It ended with, "Maybe next year, we’ll do an ad with overpaid movie stars."
No matter what side of the Kim Kardashian opinion you fall on, it’s agreed that this year’s commercial is far more visually pleasing. Wonder what we can expect next year?
