We first told you about the #KylieJennerChallenge yesterday and how there's potential for permanent scarring and bruising for the teens who try it. Now the youngest Kardashian (well Jenner) herself has finally responded to the social media frenzy… and she’s not having it.
I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look. (Cont...)— Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) April 21, 2015
I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look.— Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) April 21, 2015
The social media maven who sports blue hair one day and long grey extensions the next is certainly known for experimenting with her looks. The 17-year-old claims that her infamous bee stung pout is the result of cleverly applied makeup, not plastic surgery.
After seeing the gruesome pictures, shocked parents are warning their kids to not even think about trying the challenge, which carries the risk of permanent disfigurement. We think the horrifying results that have been posted with the hashtag #KylieJennerChallenge might be incentive enough for Jenner fans to think twice.
We asked our Womensforum readers what they thought about the challenge, and the responses poured in. Mom Laurie L.F. wrote, "It's stupid..why would anyone want to do that to their lips!? I'm sorry but that's disgusting looking ... and her lips are obviously surgically enhanced. I highly doubt she walks around with a glass stuck to her face.." while mom Veronica S. wrote, "And this is why I refuse to let my kids watch TV. How is she famous again?"
Facebook user Rachel B. commented on Womensforum’s Facebook post echoing the reality star's sentiments, "There's nothing wrong with u. Stop changing it. I was told this as a teen."
