manual-vs-electric-toothbrush-videoWhat’s the best toothbrush to brush teeth squeaky clean? The dentist is in, and she’s saying electric is better!

It’s the debate of the decade: Electric or manual! Which toothbrush really works better to get teeth cleaner, reach the hard-to-reach areas in your mouth and fix your problem areas? Well, Dr. Margaret Mitchell tells us tells us the electric toothbrush is the way to go.

Why an Electric Toothbrush is Better

Well, when brushing your teeth with a manual brush, sometimes it’s hard to get to the “problem areas” that most people have when they try to brush teeth. Areas like behind the bottom front teeth and the molars all the way in the back are the ones most people miss. If you can't get a manual toothbrush to reach your back two top molars, then it isn't a good brush for you. With an electric toothbrush, it’s a lot easier to guide the toothbrush to the back of the mouth or behind the front teeth. You just let the brush do the work for you!

How To Brush Your Teeth With an Electric Toothbrush

All you really need to do is put a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush and guide the electric brush around your mouth for two minutes. You'll be surprised to know any more than that amount can be actually be abrasive to your gums and teeth! You should also think about starting in a different place each day, so that you’re not wearing down one spot in your mouth.

Well, there you have it! The debate of the decade is solved. Now all you manual brushers out there need to make the big switch over to the electric side. Check out the video for more tips on how to brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush.
