Dear Friends,

I hope your Mother’s Day was filled with love…and for those celebrating for the very first time—everything that you always expected. This time around, I found myself thinking about last year, (my first Mother’s Day) and how my son giggled for the very first time while I sang to him (so much for mom’s singing). I can still hear that wonderful sound and recall the look on his face…and it is something I will remember for a lifetime.

I’m not sure what it is (perhaps becoming a mother later in life) but so often I find myself thinking more and more about what really matters and just what it takes to be truly happy. The kind of happy where you wake up in the morning and are just glad that the life you are living is your own. If you’ve ever had one of those perfect days, you know exactly what I mean.
