Katherine Jenkins Injured in DWTS

Dancing with the Stars continues to be entertaining, and just when we learned that Melissa Gilbert was injured a few weeks ago with a concussion and whiplash, now Katherine Jenkins has been injured, though reportedly mildly.  During her salsa performance Monday night  on Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Mark Ballas, Katherine Jenkins reportedly suffered a reflectorical lower back spasm.  Jenkins, an opera singer, has recently tweeted that she is all right but a bit sore after the 14th season semi-finals of Dancing With the Stars.  And ever the gentleman, Mark Ballas, abruptly stopped after the second dance routine when he discovered that she had hurt her back, and reported to the audience what had happened, still appealing for their votes.

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are at it again. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, a common film duo, collaborated on the newly released Dark Shadows film. Dark Shadows is a remake of a television soap opera that was popular in the 1960’s. The Dark Shadows series was a very campy soap opera that had memorable plots, intriguing twists and melodramatic supernatural characters. Dark Shadows the film is getting mixed reviews but Johnny Depp is being praised as vampire Barnabas Collins.

Marvel Superheroes Smash Through More Than Cars and Buildings.

Marvel super-movie The Avengers surpassed the $100 million dollar mark over Mother’s Day weekend, making The Avengers the film with the highest grossing second weekend in history. Combined with the additional $95.4 million grossed from international distribution, The Avengers has officially made $1 billion dollars globally.

Desperate Housewives: Serving Up An Unexpected Finale!

A long enjoyed television series, Desparate Housewives, has come to a close.  The Desperate Housewives Season Finale concluded last night with some surprising twists and turns as the five women of Wisteria Lane went their different ways following a murder trial.  As usual, "Gabrielle," played by Eva Longoria, was true to character, testifying in Bree's (Marcia Cross) murder trial all the time knowing that her husband, Carlos had committed the accidental homicide.  She then steals a wedding dress for Renee (Vanessa Williams) as a replacement for the one that got soaked with amniotic fluid.   Ha!  the Desperate Housewives dilemmas never cease to entertain us as they get involved in goofy escapades.

Celebrity Apprentice Get's Hot!

Well it's looking like the final battle will be between Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall on Celebrity Apprentice.  Last week, the popular show left us with a cliffhanger, making us wonder if Aubrey O'Day, Arsenio Hall, or Clay Aiken would be let go.  Donald Trump brought in two former Celebrity Apprentice stars, Marlee Matlin and John Rich to weigh in on who should be fired.  Both Celebrity Apprentice stars decided it should be Aubrey because she seemed less experienced and too emotional.  And so, as we all have seen in the past, Trump declared, "You're fired."  So who is it going to be?

Dancing With The Stars

It looks like Dancing With the Stars just got more exciting.  Two couples were eliminated this week as Chris Brown performed his new song, Turn Up the Music.  The first couple to receive the boot was Roshon Fegan, former Disney star and his dance partner, Chelsie Hightower.  Though Fegan scored very well for his individual performance Monday night, he still received substantial criticism from the judges, comparing him to a young Mickey Rooney.  Roshon Fegan seemed to take it all in stride however, citing how happy is to have learned ballroom dancing in addition to his other stellar dance moves.

Amazing Race Season Finale

What looked like a sure win became a near-catastrophe for Rachel and Dave, the front runners on The Amazing Race.  But true to their reputation, they still came out on top, beating Art and J.J. with a steep sled ride.  The champions on The Amazing Race made a silly blunder, missing a road block, and found out only after they had crossed the finish line.  And so the couple backed up and found the right path.  The last and final road block challenge on The Amazing Race called for the player who hadn't opened the clue (from each team) to glide down a steep hill on a traditional Hawaiian sled.  The sled proved challenging, because balancing on the thing was very difficult.  And of course, whoever fell off the most lost The Amazing Race.

The Avengers Movie

It's finally out:  the movie many of us have been waiting for.  The Avengers opened in theaters Friday and promises to entertain!  The movie is packed with A-list stars, including Robert Downey Junior, Scarlett Johansson, Gweneth Paltrow, Samuel Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, to name just a few!  And let's just say that if we take our children to it, we will be entertained as well.  And if you find you don't like the storyline, you can always look that the "eye candy,"  for there are many handsome actors in the film The Avengers.  Early reports are that the movie is going to crush its competitors at the box office.  The movie The Avengers has already received excellent reviews.

Think Like A Man

Have you ever wondered how to think like a man?  The very thought of thinking like a man is a bit terrifying, yet intriguing for those of us who try to understand what the heck they are thinking.  A new movie was recently released called "Think Like A Man," which portrays a group of four women and men who date each other.  In the movie, the women read a book called "Think Like A Man," and use the relationship advice in the book against their love interests.  But their partners find out and what ensues is hilarious!  At a minimum, the movie promises to be amusing.
