Let's be honest with each other, Twinkies are pretty darn good. So good, that It's hard to stop from stuffing yourself with them anytime there's a box within a 50 feet radius. Unfortunately, after making this delicious recipe that uses them to make cake with whipped cream, pudding and pumpkin, you're going to have a real Twinkie problem on your hands. Don't say we didn't warn you.  

This autumn-inspired treat is easy to make, there’s no baking required and is perfect for your holiday party.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of 10 Twinkies
  • 8 oz. package of plain cream cheese
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 8 oz. container of Cool Whip, thawed
  • 6 oz. of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 15 oz. can of pumpkin
  • 1-2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice. Keep on hand to sprinkle the top of the cake
  • 1 cup of whole or 2% milk

Directions:

1. Cut the Twinkies in half lengthwise.

2. Place in a 9 x 13 baking dish with the cream-side up.

3. Blend together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1/2 of the container of the Cool Whip and beat on low until smooth.

4. Spread over the Twinkies.

5. Mix the vanilla pudding with the pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and milk.

6. Whisk until thick and spread over cream cheese and Cool Whip layer.

7. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over pudding layer. 

8. Top it off by lightly sprinkling with pumpkin pie spice.

9. Place in fridge for 4-5 hours or until set.

10. Enjoy!
