Florence "Seesee" Rigney started nursing school at age 21.

Like most young women, she dreamed of this career since she was a young girl. And at age 90, she's still practicing at the Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

She celebrates six decades of nursing service and her colleague, Martie Schultz at Multicare Health System staff says, “She is an inspiration to all! God bless you my friend. We love you and can only hope to have half of the energy you have at your age.”

Birthday greetings from Washington Govenor Jay Inslee (D) sent a card to the "oldest practicing nurse in the United States" and noted she has built a tremendous legacy of volunteers at the hospital. She was delighted that day wearing a pink sash and crown throughout her day at work and beamed with surprise when she entered the hospital.

She turned 90 on May 7th, 2015 and was almost speechless upon the celebration.

She said, "I thank you all , I have nothing to say; not like on other days."

Happy Birthday Seesee!
