Can’t sing your way out of this one, Robin!
Paula Patton has officially filed for divorce from husband Robin Thicke. After months of unsuccessful goes from Thicke at trying to win back his bride, Patton is pulling the plug on their nine-year marriage.
The couple, who announced their separation eight months ago, have been under scrutiny ever since reports of Robin’s alleged indiscretions began surfacing about two years ago. Talks of an open relationship and cheating were long denied by the couple who were known for their red carpet PDA moments.
At the time of their separation, a joint statement was released in which they said, “We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
Robin took the split as an opportunity to prove his devout love to Patton, which has apparently not done the trick. Thicke released an album, “Paula” and dedicated numerous concert performances to the wife he wished to win back through song.
The [often uncomfortable] gestures came up during an appearance on Good Morning America this July, in which Thicke confessed, “I actually have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just kind flying by the seat of my pants on this one.”
Thicke met Patton when he was only 14 years old and he first serenaded the brunette beauty to Stevie Wonder’s “Jungle Fever” at a Hollywood nightclub along the Sunset strip. They officially began dating when Thicke was 16 and were married in 2005. They share 4-year-old son, Julian Fuego.
