Pink Floyd may be releasing their first album in 20 years.
The legendary rock band's new album, called The Endless River, could be released this October, according to a tweet from Polly Samson, wife of lead singer and guitarist David Gilmour. Samson said the "very beautiful" new album will be based on recording sessions from 1994, the year the band released their last studio album "The Division Bell."
She called the release the "swan song" of keyboardist Rick Wright, who died of cancer in 2008 at the age of 65.
Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason are essentially the last living members of the 1994-era Pink Floyd, with co-founder Roger Waters parting ways with his band mates in the 80's, aside from a reunion performance in 2005.
Gilmour released a solo album in 2006 titled "On an Island," which included lyrics from Samson.
It's not exactly clear if the new album will consist solely of revived 1994 material or if it will include later recordings, like the solo material Wright reportedly recorded following the band's last album, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Times' requests for comment for comment from the band's label have not been returned.
