The AMAs aired last night on ABC, and the attendees were dressed to kill! Our favorite musicians from all genres graced the red carpet with looks from designers like Lanvin, Vivienne Westwood, as Zuhair Murad.
Although the AMAs are meant to honor musicians, they weren't the only ones who shined in the spotlight. Presenters, including actresses and reality stars, wore gorgeous gowns that upstaged some of the top performers’ looks.
Here are some of our favorite red carpet looks from last night AMAs!
Charli XCX has been known to blow us away with her daring, yet stylish, red carpet looks. This time, she opted for something sleek, elegant, and classic with this off the shoulder black dress from Vivienne Westwood.
This newcomer also has a knack for red carpet style, and didn’t disappoint us last night with her canary yellow gown from Zuhair Murad. Although yellow is a tough color for anyone to pull off and that train looked like a liability waiting to happen, Rita Ora achieved both with style.
Another starlet who went with a classy Old Hollywood look was Selena Gomez. This stunning Giorgio Armani Prive gown flattered her figure without looking too risque. The open back also added a nice, youthful touch!
Black seemed to be the most popular color on the red carpet last night. Fergie kept up with this trend in a floor length, halter Halston Heritage gown with metallic embellishments and a high slit. The singer and new mom is a red carpet vet, but has come a long way from her Black Eyed Peas days!
Leave it to T. Swift to add a pop of color to the red carpet! Swift accepted her Dick Clark Award of Excellence in a beautiful green cutout dress, but was sure not to show her bellybutton.
The newly single singer showed off what her mama gave her in a Halston Heritage metallic gown with a plunging neckline and a high slit. Is it just us, or is she making Jason Derullo rethink their break-up?
Miss America Kira Kazantsev
A pageant girl spends most of her life wearing a gown. So when it comes to a red carpet event, she’s sure to wow the crowd in anything she chooses. Miss America wore a two piece look with a poofy a-line skirt and a matching beaded tank top.
Julianne Hough knows a thing or two about singing and dancing, and judging by her dress, she knows a hell of a lot about fashion, too! Hough wore a red sleeveless dress with slit and pink embellishments from Zuhair Murad. This gown probably put some of her Dancing with the Stars outfits to shame!
Another presenter who stunned at the show was Olivia Munn. Her gold metallic dress with plunging neckline and black belt from Lanvin blew the audience away, even if her semi-robotic presenting skills didn’t.
It wouldn’t be a music awards ceremony without an appearance from J.Lo. This time, she gave us life in a barely-there Reem Acra dress. Once again, J. Lo reminds us of the importance of exercise and reinvents the look of the naked dress.
