There are some heart disease risk factors that we can control, and some that are beyond our current ability to fight against. In the U.S.over seven million people have suffered heart attacks and there is evidence that small factors could reduce that by three fourths.
The risk factors for heart disease that are not controllable are sex (men are more predisposed to heart diseases than women), aging process, family background and racial features (Caucasians apparently have a stronger heart than Mexican Americans, African Americans or American Indians).
You can proceed to a heart disease risk reduction by controlling your smoking habits, anger, stress, obesity, diabetes, physical activity, blood pressure and the cholesterol levels in your blood.
