Enthusiasm was not curbed this weekend for actress Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy, Jr.
The couple wed over the weekend at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts amid a gathering of family and friends, according to reports. The ceremony comes after the pair announced their engagement in April.
"They have wed, and it was beautiful," Hines' publicist Ann Gurrola told CNN.
Kennedy, 60, is the nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the son of former attorney general and U.S. Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, who were both assassinated in the 1960s.
He is currently working as an environmental lawyer for the Natural Resources Defense Council and serves as president of Waterkeeper Alliance, both based in New York.
Saturday's wedding marks Robert Kennedy's third marriage. In 2012, his previous wife Mary Kennedy died of asphyxiation due to hanging in Bedford, New York. The two had four children together, and Robert Kennedy has two children from an earlier marriage.
It is the second marriage for 48-year-old Hines, whose first marriage ended in divorce in 2010.
Hines has been nominated twice for Emmys and is widely known for her role in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she played Larry David's wife. Larry David reportedly introduced the pair to each other.
The Florida-based actress has also appeared on shows like ABC sitcom Suburgatory and Father of the Pride. She made her directorial debut in 2009 with Serious Moonlight.
