Carrie Bradshaw is no longer single but she's still having New York problems...

Not everyone is a Sex and the City fan, and that includes the New Yorkers living on Carrie Bradshaw’s legendary stoop. The steps, which once served as every single girl’s gateway to a New York dream, are now restricted from visitors and fans alike.

Sex and the City star turned shoe designer Sarah Jessica Parker reportedly infuriated NYC’s West Village neighborhood where Carrie’s apartment stands as she she has hosted unwelcomed photo shoots for her self-titled shoe collection.

I'm going to follow them. X, Sj

For years, fans and New York tourists have stopped at the renowned address to take pictures and bask in the 90’s glory of what the stoop once met to millions of girls. However, enough is enough for the real-life residents. Because of the chaos, they have chained off their steps with a sign hanging that reads, "Do NOT go on staircase please."

Oh no. Eek. Sorry. No. I was just talking about the shoes. Oh man. Geesh. Sorry. X Sj

Parker and her large collection of shoes ignored the request when the actress staged her shoes around the sign, up the stoop, and down the block. Neighbors were not happy that Parker disregarded the request to back off and now the designer might need to find a new place to promote her brand.

Parker shamelessly posted the pictures on her Instagram with the caption, "That’s a wrap ladies #longdayforcarrie." The hashtag #longdayforcarrie has since been deleted from the post.

That's a wrap ladies.

According to a Page Six source, "The owners are up in arms as they deal with the relentless tourists, and SJP has ignored their requests for an explanation on how she could endorse the shoot, even though ‘no trespassing’ signs are posted. SJP used their house during the years of filming, and now won’t acknowledge that she and her company used the steps and façade, this time without permission, to promote her shoe line."

All the recent Sex and the City 3 buzz is not helping the West Village chaos die down, but it sure enforces the idea that Mr. Big and Carrie should move on…for good.
