Although most of us know we need serotonin, we don’t know what serotonin is or what serotonin does. Foods like black beans, melon, leafy greens and strawberries are jam packed with folic acid and will also aid in raising your serotonin levels.

The majority of people suffer from symptoms of depression from time to time but individuals exhibiting signs of depression for two weeks or more should talk with their doctor. A natural imbalance in your diet could be causing your depression and eating foods rich in serotonin could go a long way in easing depression symptoms.
