Solange spoke to Lucky Magazine about the night she went after Jay Z in an elevator.

It was the elevator fight seen 'round the world, and the woman who initiated it is speaking out. Beyoncé's younger sister Solange opened up to Lucky in their August issue about the infamous elevator scuffle caught on tape between her and Jay Z. It appears all is good in the family.

The Met Gala was when it all went down. Solange notoriously attacked Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel in New York City. Per security footage leaked by hotel staff, the fight between Jay and his sister-in-law is intriguing to watch - mainly because there is no audio. Many have wondered what exactly prompted the fight and reported rumors, including Jay Z having flirted with Rachel Roy at the Gala, have made the story even juicier.

TMZ first released the video which quickly turned viral and memes and jokes soon followed about Solange beating up Jay Z. As speculation rose, the trio involved in the scuffle released a statement a few weeks later.

"As a result of the public release of the elevator footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assumer their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family," the statement said.

When Lucky referenced the fight, Solange referred to the matter as "that thing." And before changing the subject, the singer went on to say that she and her family are at peace.

"What's important is that my family and I are all good," Knowles said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

Beyoncé and Jay Z are currently traveling and performing together as part of their "On the Run" tour. Meanwhile, Solange also has her music and son, Julez, to keep the tabloids out of mind.
