Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind SpaceX and other ventures, is making headlines again with a new video showing one of the benefits to the new Tesla Model S P85D. The electric car features an "Insane Button" that accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in a little over three seconds.

The ultra-fast acceleration feature is on display in a video posted by drag racing site DragTimes. In the video, a driver named Brooks, who is an owner of the new Tesla model, carts around family and friends. You can see the passengers' shock as the car quickly speeds up from a complete stop.

The "Insane Button" is featured on the all-electric car’s dashboard screen. Brooks said that the feature is safe, as the driver needs to push the gas all the way down to make the option work.

When this option is engaged, the car uses the full horsepower of its two motors all at once. Just how fast is the new all-wheel drive model?

The average sports car takes about 6 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. Not only is it the quickest electric car, it’s also the fastest production sedan, according to a review at Topspeed.com.

Tesla Model S P85D is available now, retailing at around $120,000.

What else can this tech-heavy vehicle do? It can park itself and has 360-degree sonar that helps it detect cars driving nearby, among other safety features.

The future, apparently, has arrived?
