Fans of Woody and Buzz can rejoice because Toy Story 4 will be coming out June 17, 2017. Your favorite talking toys will return to the big screen in a whole new adventure that reportedly will be a love story - whose, we don't know just yet.
John Lasseter, who directed the first two Toy Story films, will return to direct the fourth movie. The Pixar team says it’s "a story that’s as good as or better than the original." They say it will pick up where the Toy Story 3 left off and the plot will focus on love.
"We don’t just, because of the success of a film, automatically say we’re going to do a sequel and then figure out what we’re going to do," Lasseter said. So, it sounds like the plot is pretty well-planned... but how will it compare to the previous blockbusters considering the first three movies have sold more than $1.3 billion in tickets worldwide? f
Former Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones will write the screenplay and the whole team promises you won’t be disappointed. We know that having to wait until 2017 will be tough but to tide you over, here is a look back at some of the best moments from the trilogy!
Our 6 Favorite Toy Story Moments
When Buzz Goes Spanish
Buzz gets his reset button pushed by Rex and turns into a romantic, dance-loving Spanish Buzz who tries to woo Jessie. It creates hilarity and awesome mix-ups. Definitely one of the funniest moments of all three films!
When Sid is Taught a Lesson
Sid is by far the creepiest character we’ve come into contact with and when Woody and all the other mutant toys teach him a lesson, it’s definitely a great moment! The toy torturer screams in terror as his toys come to life and Woody tells him to "play nice."
Buzz Proves He Can Fly
"To infinity and beyond!" When Woody argues that Buzz Lightyear can't really soar to the skies, the popular spaceman toy proves him wrong... sort of.
Andy Plays With His Toys For the Last Time
It was a definite turning moment for the trilogy. We met Andy as kid, who loved to play with his toy pals. We saw him as a child, go through high school and now, he was off to college. It’s like we grew up with Andy and the whole toy gang so this final moment certainly prompted some waterworks.
In Toy Story 2, we learn of Jessie’s past, which of course was explained with the help of Sarah McLachlan who always pulls at our heartstrings. To the tune of "When She Loved Me," we learned about Jessie’s happy early years up until her abandonment when her owners grew up.
Ken’s Fashion Show
Our favorite metrosexual Ken doll put on quite the fierce fashion show to Chic's "Le Freak" in Toy Story 3.
