Valentine's Day Cupcake Ideas

  • 1/2 cup of butter (softened)
  • 1 package of cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of bourbon


  1. Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and bourbon.
  3. Mix until creamy.
  4. Frost cupcakes.
  5. Sprinkle with love and serve.









Homemade Salted Caramel-Buttercream CupcakesCaramel-Cupcakes-For-Vday


  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2/3 cup of softened butter
  • 1 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups of milk


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a muffin pan with baking cups.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. In another large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Use an electric mixer.
  5. Add one egg then the other.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Add dry ingredients.
  8. Add milk.
  9. Fill cups.
  10. Bake for about 20 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  11. Let cupcakes cool.

Cupcake Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
  • 1 stick of softened butter
  • 2/3 cup of caramel topping
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 cups of powdered sugar
  • sea salt to taste

Icing Directions

  1. Electrically beat shortening and butter until all is creamy.
  2. Add caramel topping and vanilla extract.
  3. Add sugar slowly.
  4. Beat together until all is fluffy.
  5. Ice cupcakes with caramel buttercream frosting.
  6. Sprinkle with love, caramel topping that’s left over and sea salt.

Bourbon Cupcakes with a Meringue Buttercream (or Hazelnut Cream)Hazelnut-cupcake

Cupcake Ingredients

  • 1 box devil’s food cake
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of bourbon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Icing Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a muffin pan with baking cups.
  3. Follow box mix directions.
  4. Let cupcakes cool.
  5. Then frost with one of the below.

Meringue Buttercream Ingredients

  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/2 cup of caster sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick of unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Buttercream Directions

  1. Mix eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Set over a pan that has water simmering inside or (in a double boiler).
  3. Whisk for 2-3 minutes until sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. In an electric mixer, whisk on the highest level until there are stiff peaks.
  6. Add cubes of butter. One at a time.
  7. Whisk so butter and meringue combines well.

Hazelnut Cream Ingredients

  • 1/1/4 cups hazelnut spread
  • 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Hazelnut Cream Directions

  1. Melt chocolate chips and syrup in a heatproof container or bowl for 30 seconds, stirring constantly..
  2. Add vanilla extract and set aside.
  3. Add hazelnut and melted chocolate.
  4. Beat for 2 minutes until fluffy enough to frost cupcakes.
