Wedding To Do List

Much More to it, Than Simply Saying 'I do'

Planning every detail is one of the most diligent jobs wedding planners have and when planning a wedding depending on a specific time frame little details are often overlooked.

There are always little details that make the wedding special to not only the bride and groom but the entire wedding guest list including the wedding party as well.  Make sure to include all the little details to make any wedding special by adding these things to a formal wedding to do list.

Organize Your Wedding To Do List

Choosing the wedding location, trips to the florist, picking out silver, getting engraved initiations, finding a good photographer and deciding on the music are always the key tasks on any one's wedding to do list. The draw back to this type of wedding planning, though, is that everything on the list is part of the normal wedding plan formula that makes up any ordinary wedding.  This type of wedding planning is where the only differences in weddings nowadays are the couples and maybe the theme. Been there, done that is the feeling wedding guests have as they drag themselves through to the day.

Organizing the wedding to do list with out of the box ideas that are imaginative, innovative, memorable and romantic yet formal enough for the parents is a challenging and worthwhile goal.  Take the wedding to another level that will create a moment in time, which could never be duplicated. The goal is to plan a wedding that includes all the little details that make a wedding standout or has something special that no one has thought of and make sure to add these few extra planning items on the wedding to do list.

The most important factor to planning a wedding is having sufficient time to meticulously cover every item on the wedding check off list.  Without setting a sufficient time frame, the ideal wedding check list is compromised and many items are deleted or substituted.  Just because items are removed, doesn't mean the substitutions will be able to be that something special needed to make the wedding a memorable occasion.

For example designing a unique wedding dress or creating video wedding memories and even creative center pieces, which are taken by the guest or the bride's maids, could be that little something that made the wedding unique. When there's less than 3 months to plan for it that could make things a little too cramped.  And if the idea is really cool and well realized, you never know it could become a wedding trend.

A well planned check list for a wedding has at least a year of planning involved. Here's where any one can make the fairy tale wedding event the family will talk about for years.  Little things make a big difference like replacing that DJ with a band or musical group.  Whatever happened to the big band weddings? Now those where the good ole' days!  That was when parents saved every dime made through their daughter's entire life just for this day.

Imagination is important as well. At this point the plan should include the most elegant, yet entertaining formal moment that only happens once in a life time ideas.  A wedding occasion planned as if there will never be another chance to have this opportunity.   That's the way weddings are suppose to be!

Unfortunately, today's society has clung to the idea that "if you don't do it right the first time, you can always do it again".  This handling of marriage has taken the creativity out of the most important day in a woman's life. What's left after that is a mediocre display of affection where the ring costs more than the ceremony and honeymoon combined.

Creativity is the little something every wedding to do list should have.  Without creativity it's just another wedding.  Remember the idea here is think elegant first, romantic second and entertaining third when choosing creative themes and locations. But most importantly, think out of the box, just not too far out. This means crossing out any overly outrageous theme ideas or wedding attire from the to do list.  Remember!  The wedding should be memorable not comical.

Finally, make sure there is help from many other sources. Of course the maid of honor is suppose to help with planning the wedding to do list, but a little help from the entire wedding party, including the groom and groomsmen would definitely take the edge off. Plus this way there are insurances that the bride's maids will be happy with the dress selections and the coordination color themes match perfectly and all the little details that make a wedding perfect. And the best part of having every one's input means every item on the wedding list of things to do will have the meticulous care and detail they deserve.

And don't worry about not liking some one's idea! In the end the most important part about including other's to carry out wedding tasks on the list is making sure that the two most important people are actively involved, the bride and groom, who have the final say. The Bride and Groom should always both have a part in writing out the the wedding plans and to do list. Remember this is the Groom's day too and he should have as much involvement in the planning as the Bride.

These little touches of tender loving care, which should involve both families, provide the wedding planning support that will award the wedding with that little special something to make it a special occasion for everyone.
